Sheer Music open up their account for the year, in fine fashion, plucking the best of the underground acoustic, singer-songwriter scene. Friday 17th January serves up Cambridge’s B-SYDES, who will be playing our regular haunt The Lamb, Devizes.
B-Sydes gets his name, well, from his name; Benjamin Sydes. It’s a neat little nod to the days of old, and actual physical releases. Ben plays straight forward, uncompromising acoustic music. Big Cheese Magazine says “Sydes’ folk-rooted songs deliver raw emotions with passion and conviction”, what else do you need to know?
Main billed support comes from Bath’s fairest and finest female singer song writer, GEORGIE VALE. Devizes is a massive fan of Georgie, she has honed her craft well and we’ve seen her develop from her fragile, tentative steps grow into the confident performer we will see Friday night.
Having previous worked with Jon Amor Blues Group guitarist, Dave Doherty, who recorded her first studio release, Georgie is well know, and respected in our scene. She’s previously supported the likes of Beans On Toast in Devizes, and we’re very happy to have her back!
