2000trees 2017 is go go go!

Following last year’s brilliant 10th anniversary celebration, the Cheltenham-based, independent, green-fields rock festival can today announce their first set of acts for this summer’s event.

The first announced headliner will be the brilliant SLAVES. who headline the main stage on Saturday night (8th July).

Drummer/vocalist Isaac said “Really chuffed to be headlining 2000trees Festival, it’s an honour. It’s one of my favourite UK festivals”

The festival can ALSO announce 37 more, outstanding acts. These are (in no particular order):

Essex 5 piece, and top 10 album chart rockers NOTHING BUT THIEVES, Leeds legendary noiseniks PULLED APART BY HORSES, ex-Reuben front man and now successful solo gentleman JAMIE LENMAN, the most exciting (and the loudest) band in Kent FEED THE RHINO and fresh from recently supporting Weezer, DINOSAUR PILE-UP.

PULLED APART BY HORSES – “We’re super excited to be back at 2000 Trees this year. We played the festival for the first time in 2010 and have had the honour to play and return to it over the past few years. This year we get the chance to kick start the festival on the Thursday evening! “

Also announced are MUNCIE GIRLS, BLACK FOXXES, GRUMBLE BEE, SHVPES, BAD SIGN, BELLEVUE DAYS, WEIRDS, PERSONAL BEST, CASSELS, DOE, FIZZY BLOOD, SOEUR, JONAH MATRANGA, GIANTS, TIGERCUB, THE ONE HUNDRED, QUEEN KWONG, AREA 11, GREYWIND, STRANGE BONES, AWAY DAYS, APOLOGIES I HAVE NONE,
THE ST. PIERRE SNAKE INVASION, LOUISE DISTRAS, MILESTONES, POLARY, MAKING MONSTERS, WARS, VUKOVI, STRAIGHT LINES, STEVEN BATTELLE
and PETROL GIRLS.

Festival organiser James Scarlett says: “We had a phenomenal 10th anniversary last year. The atmosphere was so special and the feedback was just incredible, so it was always going to be a tough task to top that, but ALL our efforts have gone into doing just that and we are unbelievably excited for 2017. As a 100% independent festival, we have always sought to maintain the intimate, friendly and fun vibe that sets smaller events apart and we are growing organically with amazing ideas in the pipeline to help 2000trees Festival to really flourish as one of the best small festivals in the UK” 

2000trees Festival is located on Upcote Farm, near Cheltenham in Gloucestershire. This year’s edition will run for 3 days from Thursday 6th – Saturday 8th July, and is a measly £83 for a two-day ticket (Friday and Saturday) or just £100 for a full three-day ticket to include the Thursday. The multi-award-winning 2000trees Festival is a 10,000 capacity music festival set in the rolling Cotswold Hills. You’ll get two nights camping (three if you attend Thursday Early Entry night) and a friendly, intimate atmosphere – plus amazing food and locally produced ciders, ales & lagers.

2000trees Festival is all about the music, with more than 120 of the absolute best new and underground acts from the worlds of rock and indie, plus some more established acts to close out the night.
